Passing of Former Commissioner Ralph S. Tyler

"The Maryland Insurance Administration is sad to learn of the passing of former Maryland Insurance Commissioner Ralph Tyler. During his long and distinguished career, Ralph served his country, Maryland and Baltimore with dedication, honor and integrity. Throughout his tenure at the Insurance Administration from 2007 to 2010, he guided our agency and its mission of strong consumer protection with a steady hand. On a personal note, former Commissioner Tyler's work and dedication to consumer protection for Marylanders have long been an inspiration. Our thoughts are with his wife Georgiana as well as his family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time."
