MIA to Host 2017 Regional Health Insurance Producer Meetings For the third consecutive year, Maryland Insurance Commissioner Al Redmer, Jr. will hold a series of regional meetings with health insurance producers focusing on issues of concern to this important industry. Commissioner Redmer believes that producers, who navigate Maryland consumers through the insurance process every day, provide invaluable feedback on the consumer insurance experience. Specifically, we would like to discuss the decision by CareFirst to not pay commissions to producers for this type of health product. The Commissioner is looking forward to hearing from this important stakeholder group.
