Commissioner Redmer to Hold Public Hearing on Evergreen Health’s Application to Convert to For-Profit Status and Be Acquired By Investors

Public Hearing to be held Wednesday, June 7 in Baltimore

BALTIMORE  — Maryland Insurance Commissioner Al Redmer, Jr. will hold a public hearing on Evergreen Health, Inc.’s application to convert to a for-profit entity. This public hearing, scheduled for 9:00 am – 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Maryland Insurance Administration’s office in Baltimore, will focus on the application related to the acquisition of Evergreen Health, Inc. June 13, 2017 from 10 am to 2 pm is scheduled as an additional date for the hearing, if needed. The parties wishing to acquire Evergreen Health, Inc. are: JARS Health Investments, LLC, Anne Arundel Health System, Inc. and LBH Evergreen Holdings, LLC.
 
“It’s important that we receive feedback from all stakeholders on the Evergreen Health application to convert to a for-profit status and be acquired by investors,” said Commissioner Redmer. “We are looking forward to hearing from interested parties on this application.”

Any interested party is invited to attend the public hearing and to submit comments in writing in advance. Time limits may be imposed for oral testimony, depending on the number of people who attend. The Maryland Insurance Administration is located at 200 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, Md., 21202. The public hearing will be held in the Hearing Room on the 24th floor.

All comments must be received by 5 p.m. on June 7, 2017.
