On March 26, 2024, the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed causing many interruptions resulting in losses for individuals and businesses.
The Maryland Insurance Administration is encouraging all carriers doing business in the state to make reasonable accommodations so that individuals and businesses impacted by the reduced operations of the Port of Baltimore do not lose coverage due to non-payment of premium. - U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Businesses impacted by the FSK Bridge collapse are eligible for low-interest, long-term Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) to help overcome temporary loss of revenue stemming from the bridge collapse. Eligibility applies to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture businesses, and private nonprofit organizations. The application deadline is 12/30/24.
