Consumer Outreach

Publications

The Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA) encourages consumers to learn as much as possible about their insurance before they make a purchase. The materials found on our website provide information about most types of insurance from auto, homeowners, health and life policies to annuities, title insurance, and coverage for boats. You can also learn about preparing for natural disasters, preventing insurance fraud, considering insurance options when traveling, and understanding how your credit score affects your insurance rates.

If you do not see a publication that addresses your question(s) or you would like a printer-friendly or physical copy of any of our marketing materials, please send an email or call 1-800-492-6116 and ask for the Consumer Education and Advocacy Unit.
