The Maryland Insurance Administration licenses public adjusters who work for and on behalf of the consumer.
The Maryland Insurance Administration does not license independent or staff adjusters who work for and on behalf of insurance companies.
States whose Public Adjuster licenses are not reciprocal with the MD Public Adjuster are listed below.
Public Adjuster applicants from these states will have to apply the same as a MD resident by successfully passing the MD Public Adjuster exam.
Public Adjuster licensees from these states will have to complete MD continuing education requirement to be eligible to apply for a renewal.
