Market Conduct Annual Statement (MCAS)

The Market Conduct Annual Statement (MCAS) was developed through the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). MCAS is designed to provide analysis of certain key market performance data that will help regulators allocate market regulation resources where they can be most effective.

The links below display the Maryland statewide ratios for the 2007-2016 Market Conduct Annual Statements for most lines. Long-term care became a new MCAS line of business as of 2014. Company-specific ratios are not shown. Companies may obtain their ratios from the NAIC's MCAS data site and are encouraged to compare their MCAS scores to the state-wide averages. Companies may not use this information in any form of advertising or marketing.
