Producer Licensing

This unit, part of the Market Regulation and Professional Licensing Division, is primarily responsible for licensing producers and other insurance professionals and reviewing/approving continuing education courses. In addition, this unit oversees administration of the qualifying examination for producers, insurance advisers and public adjusters, and provides online access to initial and renewal applications for producer licenses and other insurance professionals. This unit reports Maryland licensing data to the database maintained by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and its affiliates and makes Letters of Certification avialable online for Maryland licensees applying for licenses in other states.
