We are committed to providing clear, accurate information about the health coverage available, as well as free and low-cost healthcare resources.
How to Purchase Health Insurance:
Marylanders can purchase the exact same ACA (Affordable Care Act) compliant individual or family health insurance plans from
Maryland Health Connection (MHC) marketplace and directly from insurance companies that have plans on the MHC marketplace.

Short-Term, Limited Duration Insurance (STDI) Coverage:
Short-Term, Limited Duration Insurance (STDI) policies are Major Medical Health Insurance coverage, but they only last for a short time. STDI policies in Maryland end after three months and cannot be renewed.
